I enjoyed this! Information technology could use some more thorough editing, just overall I liked the story. It's a quick read, simply can be a picayune vague at times - it uses a bit of a heightened vocabulary that can create some confusion in the story.

All of that said it tells the story of a mortal and woman and an ancient fae being of the woods - hooves and antlers and all (though not e'er). It is pretty smutty - with some BDSM elements and petty over the top at times, exist forwarned. Just overall I was pretty ente

I wanted to give this book 3.5 stars, but no one-half stars on Goodreads. Distressing.

Spoilers ahead - consider yourself warned.

The erotic sections were definitely erotic. Potent erotic language. So if that's not your loving cup of tea then maybe steer articulate. The parts that weren't were most poetic, despite the numerous and foreign inconsistencies throughout the narrative. The erotic sections were definitely erotic. Stiff erotic linguistic communication. So if that'southward not your cup of tea then mayhap steer clear. The parts that weren't were almost poetic, despite the numerous and foreign inconsistencies throughout the narrative. A clarification of a nutrient detail would change from one place to another; ie a basket of biscuits somehow became cookies? 🤷🏼‍♀️ This sort of matter occurred a few times throughout the narrative. Also the female protagonist Laika had this ridiculous, nervous(?) "Haha." or "Hehe." at the terminate of a lot of her dialogue that just fabricated me want to tear my hair out. Information technology was terribly annoying and made her seem even more childish than I feel she was meant to be.

Also. It was depressingly obvious towards the stop of the novel that Calitorn was slowly preparing for his expiry. Giving away his treasures and weakening further and further in front of Laika. For someone who supposedly loves him information technology seemed horribly selfish that she didn't admit this IN THE SLIGHTEST. 😡🤬 I get the worry over her condition as a slave and the possibility of her family losing their home and livelihood. But your lover is dying in front of you and she'south all "Oh hey, see ya tomorrow lover!" It simply left a sour taste in my mouth.

The narrative could've used some smoothen. A good editor and it would accept been brilliant. The story and setting were breathtaking however and those were the volume's strongest points. Major kudos on the beautiful embrace fine art by the lovely Nipuni. I dearest the details included in it which absolutely captures the characters.

Southward. R. Arturia is a new writer to me and her book Dreambound has made me a fan! The storyline was engaging and kept my involvement from first to stop. If you enjoy mystery, magical beings, twists, steamy scenes and love. Calitorn and Laika are both stiff characters and that made for a well balanced couple. The allure between the couple simmered forth nicely every bit they engaged in a chemical science that was spicy and hot.

This was a creative, captivating, steamy (!) adventure with lots of intrigue, clever details, and terrific characters. I loved the premise of the plot and the whole thought of the Dream. This was my first S. R. Arturia book, and I'yard looking frontwards to reading the residuum of the series. Betrayal, trust, and love were some of the underlying themes, and information technology ends in a happy and safe for now, if not forever, depending on how the series progresses.
