I enjoyed this! It could employ some more thorough editing, but overall I liked the story. It's a quick read, merely can be a trivial vague at times - information technology uses a scrap of a heightened vocabulary that can create some confusion in the story. All of that said it tells the story of a mortal and woman and an ancient fae being of the forest - hooves and antlers and all (though non always). The erotic sections were definitely erotic. Potent erotic language. So if that's not your loving cup of tea then maybe steer articulate. The erotic sections were definitely erotic. Stiff erotic linguistic communication. So if that'southward not your cup of tea then mayhap steer clear. The parts that weren't were almost poetic, despite the numerous and foreign inconsistencies throughout the narrative. A clarification of a nutrient detail would change from one place to another; ie a basket of biscuits somehow became cookies? 🤷🏼♀️ This sort of matter occurred a few times throughout the narrative. Also the female protagonist Laika had this ridiculous, nervous(?) "Haha." or "Hehe." at the terminate of a lot of her dialogue that just fabricated me want to tear my hair out. Information technology was terribly annoying and made her seem even more childish than I feel she was meant to be.
Also. It was depressingly obvious towards the stop of the novel that Calitorn was slowly preparing for his expiry. Giving away his treasures and weakening further and further in front of Laika. For someone who supposedly loves him information technology seemed horribly selfish that she didn't admit this IN THE SLIGHTEST. 😡🤬 I get the worry over her condition as a slave and the possibility of her family losing their home and livelihood. But your lover is dying in front of you and she'south all "Oh hey, see ya tomorrow lover!" It simply left a sour taste in my mouth.
The narrative could've used some smoothen. A good editor and it would accept been brilliant. The story and setting were breathtaking however and those were the volume's strongest points. Major kudos on the beautiful embrace fine art by the lovely Nipuni. I dearest the details included in it which absolutely captures the characters.

The storyline was engaging and kept my interest from commencement to end. If you enjoy mystery, magical beings, twists, steamy scenes and love. Calitorn and Laika are both strong characters and that made for a well balanced couple. The allure betwixt the couple simmered along nicely every bit they engaged in a chemistry that was spicy and hot.

This was a creative, captivating, steamy (!) gamble with lots of intrigue, clever details, and terrific characters. I loved the premise of the plot and the whole idea of the Dream. This was my first Southward. R. Arturia book, and I'thou looking forrad to reading the rest of the series. Betrayal, trust, and dear were some of the underlying themes, and it ends in a happy and safe for now, if not forever, depending on how the series progresses.I was given a copy of Dreambound, but that did non affect my review.
